South Australian Museum Membership - Terms and Conditions
A South Australian Museum valid membership (a membership) grants the named member/s the
membership benefits current at the time of use. Current membership benefits are displayed on the
Museum’s website (link).
A membership is only valid during the period up to and including the date of expiry. Temporary
membership cards are valid until the date of expiry on the temporary card.
Memberships are available in three categories –individual, joint and junior. Concession rates are
available for individual and joint memberships, valid identification must be provided at time of purchase
to gain these rates.
Membership benefits are available on presentation of a valid membership card (physical or digital), with
photo identification.
A fee is payable for replacement of any physical membership card.
South Australian Museum (the Museum) reserves the right to change the terms and/or member benefits
at any time during a membership, including suspending or revoking the membership program in whole
or in part. If any changes are made, the Museum will give notice by email and/or by posting a
notification on the Museum’s website.
A membership is non-transferable and cannot be suspended once activated.
The Museum cannot guarantee refunds for memberships purchased except where Australian
Consumer Law applies.
Reproduction of a Museum membership card in any form is strictly prohibited.
Unauthorized or unlawful resale or attempted resale of any membership card or benefit is grounds for
seizure and cancellation of the membership card without compensation.
The Museum reserves the right to update or change these terms and conditions at any time without
prior notice.
By becoming a member you consent to receive communications to your nominated address (physical
and/or digital) regarding your membership and any news, programs, events, competitions or offers
appropriate to members. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Members and parents, carers or guardians of Junior Members are responsible for ensuring contact
details are updated as they change.
The Museum collects and manages your personal information for the purposes of administering the
membership program and providing you details of membership benefits. For more information about
how your personal information is used please see the Museum’s privacy policy.
The Museum may terminate your membership without liability or refund if you fail to comply with these
terms & conditions, abuse any benefits provided under the membership program, misuse your
membership card or breach the Museum’s conditions of entry.
Reciprocal partners and benefits
Access to reciprocal benefits are subject to any terms and conditions imposed by the offering partner.
Reciprocal benefits are subject to change at any time by offering partners and South Australian
Museum does not guarantee a benefit is available at all times.
Gift memberships
Gift memberships are valid from the date of activation either by the giver or by the recipient, for the
duration of the membership purchased.
The Museum reserves the right to cancel, without refund, any gift membership that has not been
activated within six (6) months of the purchase date.
